| Working for Government has its own special demands and we have had completely and fundamentally changed our working practices to cope with the volume and complexity of the work. Some of it specifically relates to the public sector, for example the MOD's Internal Audit Department audits us annually and our contract complies with the Official Secrets Act. However, some aspects are beneficially and more generally applied to all areas of our work in both the private and public sectors Disposal is rarely a priority when it comes to budget allocation; therefore we work hard to keep our rates as low as possible. Our advantage over our competition is that because we resell a great deal of the items we clear, we can subsidise our costs of removal making us the lowest cost option in the market place. Moreover, because we divert all reusable goods we contribute significantly to the environment and the reduction of waste disposal, thereby assisting Government clients and corporate companies to fulfil their social and environmental responsibilities. |
